Remarks | Main average area of Lake Kariba inhabited by fish in 1968 and 1969 was 33,422 ha, corresponding to the 0-20 m depth area at a normal water level of 485 m, representing 6.2% of the total lake surface (5,364 km2). Three sided blocking nets (8 mm mesh size) were utilized and set at different hours of the day to avoid fencing off the the highest evening concentration each time. |
