Remarks 'toby', i.e., a small jub, pitcher, or mug shaped like a stout man with a cocked hat for the brim, from Greek 'Tobias', a Jewish hero (p. 1239, Ref. 11978); 'white', from Indo-European '*kwitnos' or '*kwidnos', formed from same base as Sanskrit 'sveta', i.e., white and Russian 'svet', i.e., light (p. 573, Ref. 11979).
