Description: Head and body pearly white, eye bar black dorsal vertical stripes two broad black extending to dorsal fin anterior and posterior edges. Juveniles pelvic and anal fins white. Body depth 2.2-2.5 in SL (Ref. 90102). |

Presumed to be reef-associated (Ref. 48494). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018. |
