Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 6.5; dH range: 1 - 6, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: southeastern Nigeria and southwestern Cameroon.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-13; Anal soft rays: 12-15
Biology:  Restricted to brooks in the coastal rainforest with a calcium containing soil (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
