Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 108-113; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 84-89. Similar to A. japonicus, but differs from it by having larger values for meristic characters, ctenoid scales on ocular side, shorter distance between dorsal margin of head and eye about 1/3 of eye diameter, and a dark blotch on pectoral and pelvic fins. The male has an elongated 2nd dorsal ray and a darker blotch on the paired fins. |
