Dorsal soft rays (total): 52-53; Vertebrae: 59-62. This species is distinguished by the following characters: vertebrae 59-62, D 52-53, P 24-27, C 11(1+4/5+1), pyl. c. 11; 2 pairs of weak pleural ribs; Rad. pect. 3(2+0+1); lower lobe of pectoral-fin not longer than upper lobe; body depth 5-6 times in SL; compressed head 24-27% SL; large eye, 26-29% lc; with postorbital pore and one suprabranchial pore; mouth not large, its angle below anterior margin of eye; simple teeth; preanal length 36-38% SL; disk 6.3-6.6% SL; body blackish-brown with black peritoneum (Ref. 86261). |
