Max. size:  25 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: various locations from South Australia to Queensland but other species may be involved.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 57-60; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 48-55. Pink to red in color, varying with depth (Ref. 9002).
Biology:  Found in deep tidal channels in muddy burrows (Ref. 9002).

Threat to humans:  harmless
