Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Hawaii.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 119-123; Anal soft rays: 84-86; Vertebrae: 56-58. Length of lower jaw on ocular side 26.4-34.2 % in SL, on blind side 27.2-34.8; depth of caudal peduncle 5.2-6.0 % in SL (Ref. 10737).
Biology:  Benthic on sand (Ref. 58302).
