Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Pomacentrinae
Max. size:  10.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 3 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Arabian Sea coast of Oman to the Gulf of Oman (around Muscat, Oman).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-14; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 12-13. Caudal fin slightly forked with rounded lobes.
Biology:  Adults are found in exposed rocky shores, common in tide pools (Ref. 7247). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
