Max. size:  2.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Mediterranean Sea: Adriatic Sea (Ref. 4696), Balearic Island of Ibiza and northern Tyrrhenian Sea (Ref. 34243).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Distinguished by the following characteristics: pelvic disc emarginated; presence of distinctive branchiostegal spot (Ref. 86376)
Biology:  Possibly occurs in offshore coralline grounds (Ref. 4696). Reported to settle on cave walls (Ref. 10711).
