Family:  Anabantidae (Climbing gouramies)
Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 8; dH range: 5 - 12
Distribution:  Africa: middle Congo River basin (Ref. 1880, 4910, 41580, 41591, 45441) in Central African Republic, Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of the Congo. Also reported from the lower Congo River just downstream of the Kinsuka rapids (Ref. 45434).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  An air-breathing species (Ref. 118402).

Threat to humans:  harmless
