Blind side with ctenoid scales, except head region with cycloid or weakly ctenoid scales. Only 17 or 18 scales between dorsolateral and midlateral lines (Ref 9895). |
Biology: |
Inhabits rivers (Ref. 5297). A freshwater species found well above the tidal zone. Stays on the bottom where it feeds on benthic invertebrates. Marketed fresh (Ref. 12693). |
