Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 146 - 265 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Mexico, Caribbean Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-9; Vertebrae: 26-26. Six orange stripes radiating from eyes; single ocellated violet spot surrounded by red in the dorsal and anal fins (Ref. 42102).
Biology:  Collected from a nearly vertical slope (Ref. 42102).
