Last simple dorsal-fin ray smooth on hind margin; scale formula 3.5/24-26/3.5; 2.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic-fin base; 8-9 scales around caudal peduncle; 8 branched dorsal fin rays; two pairs of long barbels; anterior pair of barbels reaching to mid-eye, posterior pair reaching behind posterior border of eye; lateral line complete and more or less horizontal; maximum reported size 38 mm SL; no black spot on dorsal fin; lateral-line scales marked with black spot, resulting in dotted color pattern (Ref. 2940, 81282).

Coloration: ground color light, scales of back black-edged; black longitudinal band extends from snout to end of caudal peduncle and is underlined by series of black spots marking lateral-line scales; fins colorless (Ref. 2940, 81282, 81639). |
Affinities: B. niokoloensis and B. zalbiensis (Ref. 2940). Maximum TL was recorded at 4.4 cm (Ref. 2801). |
