Max. size:  9 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: occurs only in the upper Green and Barren River systems in Kentucky and northern central Tennessee, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits fast, rocky riffles of creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723); also found in small streams (Ref. 10294). Feeds on dipteran larvae (midges and blackflies) (Ref. 10294).
