Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 15-15; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-16; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 17-17. Description: Male dorsal with bars vertical wavy closely-spaced, reaching to midlateral, ventral white, midlateral horizontal bar extending to head curving around eyes. Female head with two bars black, caudal fin margin black. Body depth 2.0-2.2 in SL. Scales longitudinal series 46-48 (Ref. 90102). |
Biology: |
Inhabits deep coral reef areas (Ref. 4759). Also found in rocky reefs. May be found in groups (Ref. 90102). |
