Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-15. Description: Characterized by generally light brown color; absence of caudal fin; 10 caudal rays; continuous superior trunk and tail ridges; inferior trunk ridge ends near anal ring, generally obscured by swollen trunk; lateral trunk ridge confluent with inferior tail ridge; top of head and along mid-dorsal ridge of trunk with elongate appendages (Ref. 90102). |
Found on debris on mud and silt bottom having low, if any relief; individuals reluctant to leave the rock were these were first observed (Ref. 075145). |
