Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 250 - 276 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Chesterfield and Bellona plateaus, New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-15; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-15; Anal soft rays: 15-15. Caudal fin slightly emarginated.
Biology:  The body is slender and covered with large deciduous scales above the lateral line and cycloid scales below the lateral line. Throat, chest and breast are scaleless.
