Max. size:  7.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 4 - 8 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Known from Indonesia east to Fiji; north toJapan and south to Australia
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 8-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8; Vertebrae: 24. A Nectamia with one dark saddle on body below the second dorsal fin, caudal peduncle with a complete dark wide bar, connected dorsally and ventrally caudal fin without dark margins, subocular mark, thin and triangular.
