Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in sediment-rich regions. Breeds in pairs, with both male and female defending the territory in a joint effort (Ref. 7343). About 20-60 eggs are produced and deposited in crevices (Ref. 36877).
