Biology: |
Occurs in lakes, swamps and rivers, including turbid backwaters and clear, flowing tributaries (Ref. 2847). Inhabits bottom of warm, clear, flowing streams; also lives in billabongs and flooded lagoons (Ref. 44894). Feeds on insects, prawns, mollusks and small crayfish (Ref. 5259, 44894). Reaches sexual maturity at about 12 centimeters (Ref. 44894). |
