Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: upper Lufira River drainage (upper Congo River basin) in southeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 59344, 95524). Report from Zambia probably erroneous; reports from Namibia are misidentifications (Ref. 7248).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in temporary pools, water-filled depressions ("dembos"), temporary swamps and ditches in floodplains (Ref. 59344). Bottom spawner, 4-6 months incubation (Ref. 27139).
