Max. size:  3.5 cm NG (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Chile (Ref. 7463) and Argentina (Ref. 56210)
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Apparently planktophagic, with Drepanopus forcipatus (calanoid copepod) as its main food; has very low fecundity (only 71 maturing ova found as mean value); and has four parasites - two species of Acanthocepha (larvae of Corynosomia sp. And adults of Hypoechinorhyinchus sp.), one undetermined Trematoda and a larva of undetermined ectoparasitic copepod (Ref. 56210).
