Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Ouachita and Red River drainages, south Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma. Restricted to Little and Kiamichi River systems in the Red River drainage (Ref. 5723).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits pools and sluggish runs of small to medium rivers; often in quiet water near vegetation (Ref. 5723).
