Distribution:  Asia: Cave Maolan in Guizhou, China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Similar to Paracobitis longibarbatus and Paracobitis posterodorsalus, but distinguished from the latter by the following characters: nose without barbel; delicate mouth barbel; formation of exceptional pectoral fin; and caudal fin deeply forked (Ref. 76748). Description: Dorsal fin iii,8; Anal fin ii,5; Pectoral fin i+11; and Pelvic fin i+5 (Ref. 76748).
