Diagnosis: |
This species differs from other epigean congeners in the Middle East by its origin of dorsal fin above the origin of pelvic fin (vs. behind) and almost plain brown with a yellowish narrow reticulate color pattern (vs. mottled or marbled, with a midlateral stripe or with large brown blotches) (Ref. 97574).
Description: 7 1/2 branched dorsal rays; 5 1/2 branched anal rays; 8-9 branched pectoral rays; 7-8 branched pelvic rays (Ref. 97574). |
