Family:  Pempheridae (Sweepers)
Max. size:  12.35 cm SL (female)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 20 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Gulf of Aden, off Yemen (Ras Belhaf) and from the islands of the Socotra Archipelago.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 6-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 37-41
Biology:  Occurs in moderately steep reef that shelves southward, with high live coral cover of massive Porites, abundant foliose Montipora., and encrusting Echinopora (Ref. 106074).,
