Dorsal spines (total): 2-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 16-18; Anal spines: 1-2; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Dark brown to grey-black in color (Ref. 2261). |
Biology: |
Common in and outside the coelacanth caves during the day, and at night it usually ascends to the coral reef at depths of 3-20 m (Ref. 58472). |
