Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Pomacentrinae
Max. size:  6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 3 - 15 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: Similan Island, Thailand. Reported from Indonesia (Ref. 27157).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Description: Head and body neon blue, anal fin yellow, caudal fin stripe black on lower edge. Body depth 2.6-2.9 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Adults inhabit rubble and dead reef of outer slopes and inshore areas. Usually in small groups along the edges of reef to sand (Ref. 48636). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
