Dorsal soft rays (total): 88-90; Anal soft rays: 68-69. Anterior nostril rather high, located about midway between upper lip and posterior nostril. Developed gill raker 3. Opercle with a sharp spine, sometimes embedded in the skin (Ref. 43544). |
Biology: |
Uncommon species inhabiting shallow reefs (Ref. 34024). A benthic species which occurs in inshore waters (Ref. 75154). |
