Max. size:  30 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: Upper Zeta river, Moraca drainage in Montenegro.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished from all its congeners in Balkan Peninsula by the combination of the following characters: flank and side of head with few black spots; red spot dark, wine-red; body depth 23-29% SL; preanal length 75-79% SL; predorsal length 47-49% SL; and interorbital distance 29-32% SL (Ref. 59043).
Biology:  Inhabits mountain streams (Ref. 59043).
