Description: Characterized by pale grey to whitish color; head length 9-10 in TL; body depth 40-48 in TL; origin of dorsal fin above anus; dorsal and anal fins confluent with caudal fin; no pectoral fins; pointed snout projecting beyond lower jaw; small eye about midway between snout tip and rear corner of mouth; small gill opening below midlateral position; jaw teeth small and conical in narrow bands in jaws and on vomer (Ref. 90102). |
Inhabits sand bottoms near reefs (Ref 90102). |
