Distribution:  Africa: Lake Kafakumba (on a tributary of the Kasai, middle Congo River basin) and Lake Kabongo (=Lac Boya, in the Lake Upemba depression, upper Congo River basin), Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 79015).
Diagnosis:  Description: deep-bodied; head large; caudal fin subtruncate (Ref. 52307). Coloration: Preserved specimens: body in both sexes brownish to olive with some dots and maculae in unpaired fins (Ref. 52307).
