Family:  Alepocephalidae (Slickheads)
Max. size:  18.2 cm NG (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range - 1830 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Chile.
Diagnosis:  Small scales. Predorsal rows, from top of operculum to beneath dorsal origin, 32-37; total row, 59-74. 19-21 abdominal vertebrae.
Biology:  Type specimen taken from a depth of 1,830 m (Ref. 9068).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
