Cryptobenthic, found inshore, in or near crevices in vertical rock faces, rarely in deep lower tide-pools, to a depth of 40 m, usually between 6 to 12 m. Feed on crustaceans (copepods, amphipods, decapods), polychaetes, gastropods, algae (Ref. 4696). Spawns up to 12,000 eggs (Ref. 35388). |
