Max. size:  40 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 120 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-21; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 17-19
Biology:  Found on offshore rocky reefs (Ref. 9563). Juveniles found in estuaries, small protected coves in very shallow depths, large adults more in the open (Ref. 9002).
