Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 8.89999961853027; dH range: 0.5 - 8, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Uruguay.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bottom spawner, 3 months incubation. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
