Biology: |
Captured specimens were from the swamps or the tidal parts of rivers. It therefore inhabits the same environment as Trachelyopterus galeatus with which it could establish a mimetic association. Confusion due to this similarity, as well as difficulty in net-fishing of this fish (due to its small size, absence of spines) can explain its apparent rarity (Ref. 35381). |
