Biology: |
Occurs in shallow waters over sandy bottoms, often in less than 50 m deep (Ref. 6790). Lies hidden in the sediment while waiting for its prey. Feeds on fish, crustaceans and annelids. Its venom is not deadly but can cause painful wounds (Ref. 5377). |
