Body slender (body depth 5.9-7.8 times in SL); 6-11 black saddles extending from the middle of the sides across the dorsal mid-line on a whitish-yellowish background; a large roundish black blotch on caudal-fin base (Ref. 27732).
Found in streams with relatively clear, fast water and sandy to gravel substrate; stomach of one female specimen contained aquatic insect larvae (Ref. 27732).
