Comments: Protopterus annectens brieni is known from the coastal plain of Mozambique from the lower Zambezi River to the Incomati River (Ref. 7248, 52193), including lower Zambezi River (Ref. 39494, 40587), Shire River (Ref. 40587), Pungwe River (Ref. 13721), Buzi River (Ref. 52267, 97235), and Sabi River (Ref. 97235).
