Has a range including 3 drainage divisions from Queensland to Victoria. In the north it extends from the Mary River southwards, to the Hunter River. It also occurs throughout the Murray-Darling division, except at the highest altitudes (Ref. 2906). Known from eastern coastal streams from Herbert creek (near Rockhampton, Queensland and in Cooper creek and the Bulloo river in the interior (Ref. 44894).
