coldwater disease
(English) A chronic external and systemic bacterial disease of juvenile salmonids caused by Cythophaga psychrophila. The disease occurs during the low water temperature months. Outbreaks with catastrophic losses have been reported in yolk-sac fry. The disease is controlled by external and systemic antibacterials. Also peduncle disease.
