Definition of Term

turbidity current
(English) A highly turbid, relatively dense current carrying large quantities of clay, silt, and sand in suspension which flows down a submarine slope through less dense sea water. (See also: sand, canyon, turbidity)
corente túrbida
(Portuguese) Corrente muito túrbida, relativamente densa contendo grandes quantidades de argila, silte e areia em suspensão que desce ao longo de uma vertente. (See also: sand, canyon, turbidity)
