A type catalogue has been published in 1974 (see Nielsen 1974). Special features: Greenland, deep sea, Denmark; Forsskål's type collection; large collection of larvae. Remarks: about a half of Forsskål's types have been lost; a large collection of oceanic fishes from the "Dana" expeditions are still partly unworked and are available for specialists.
