Description: moderately slender; snout pointed; mouth large; frontal profile straight to slightly concave (Ref. 52307). Coloration: body grayish-brown, with olive-green head and dorsum; belly and flanks more yellowish; adult males pale reddish-brown on throat, breast and belly and body scales with a reddish centre; reddish-brown maculae in dorsal, caudal and anal fins; several orange egg spots in pale gray anal fin; females less colourful and fairly inconspicuous with brownish coloration and pale yellow belly; color patterns typical for males usually not visible in females (Ref. 52307). |
