Diagnosis |
Diagnosis: teeth longer and more widely-spaced, and mouth less upwardly-angled than any known Diplotaxodon species; larger eye and less streamlined than most Rhamphochromis species; inner row teeth near symphysis of the jaws not enlarged (Ref. 55949). Description: relatively elongated; large mouth and eye; prominent mental process (Ref. 55949). Coloration: females and non-breeding males pale silvery-white, only slightly darker dorsally with a brownish cast; ripe/maturing males with dark grey dorsum, head, flanks, dorsal and anal fin, and with pale belly and pelvic fins (Ref. 55949). |
