Has 6 broad, dark brown, vertical bars on the sides; a large blotch on caudal-fin base; a narrow vertical stripe on the caudal fin; an incomplete lateral line ending about above the anus; 8+8 branched caudal-fin rays (Ref. 27732). Anterior nostril with a pointed tip reaching anterior margin of eye; incomplete lateral line reaching anus; 8 1/2 branched dorsal rays; 8+8 branched caudal rays (Ref. 39226). Caudal fin emarginate (Ref. 39226). Dorsal fin origin above or slightly behind pelvic-fin insertion (Ref. 12693). |
