Remarks Cites FishBase in page 10; information on the distribution of fishes by country, depth, distributions and latitute ranges are used by the Sea Around Us project database. Also, the spatial allocation of catches was enhanced by routines extrapolating catches using biological information from FishBase. The further use of biological parameters resulted in an expert system routine which calculated the intrinsic vulnerability of marine fishes to extraction. The Sea Around Us Project also uses lists of fishes by country, the life-history parameters and the trophic pyramid link. Cites FishBase in page 11; routine used to calculate trophic levels was used to calculate the trophic levels of the fisheries catch statistics supplied by FAO. Cites FishBase in page 13; FishBase could provide links to the list of specimens by station sampled per expedition in the Sea Around Us project database. 2000 version.
