Remark	:	Distribution: North Pacific. Coastal marine. Body elongate with lateral bony scutes; series of 24-26 very short isolated dorsal spines, followed by a normal dorsal fin with about 10 soft rays; pelvic fin with one spine and four soft rays; caudal fin with 13 rays; four branchiostegal rays; circumorbital ring completely posteriorly; epineurals 0-3; vertebrae 52-56. Maximum length 17 cm in Aulorhynchus flavidus.
